I used Circa 1850 paint stripper (you can get it at wal mart and home depot), and steel whool. No clearcoat or anything. I can recommend doing it, it looks awesome, the only problem you should take into consideration is that it voids most frame warranties

It sounds gay to you because you're an ignorant fool. Besides downhill, I also ride XC, and I can tell you that my 29'xc bike descends ALOT better than my similar 26 Xc bike. It simply rolls over everything. I have never tried a 29' downhill bike, but as Retardviking said, It would surely be interesting.

Im not sure, but I don't think Nicolai use a suntour gearbox, they use som sort of integrated Rohloff Speedhub.

that "boxxer and 40's for dh, 888 for fr" myth is getting old.. New triple eights are light, adjustable, durable, and they have a good feel. It's all down to what you like, the 888 is an awesome downhill fork.

does this bike really have anything in common with a SC nomad? no it doesn't. it is an awesome bike though.. 12-13 kg, and that is amazing for a 150 mm travel bike
